Chief Wemi Akinsola a man who left a lasting memory in the hearts of his community and people, was born on the 13th of December 1937 in Okitipupa Ondo state, Nigeria. He attended the Methodist primary school for his elementary education, and the teacher training college Okitipupa, Ondo state. He later traveled to work/ study aeronautical engineering with the then British Caledonian in the United Kingdom. After graduating as an aeronautic engineer from the United Kingdom, he returned home to Nigeria to begin his professional career as an aeronautical engineer with the then Nigeria Airways. As one of the pioneer aeronautic engineers, he would set different laudable landmark achievements and milestones within the organization. He retired from the Nigeria Airways and went into private business/ consulting and managing multiple projects within different industries and organizations. In a bid to better the lot of his people and community, he contested for the office of state chairman under the platform of the NRC (National Republican Convention), in the Nigerian third republic. He won and became the NRC state chairman for Ondo State. As state chairman he launched laudable projects and initiatives that were beneficial to his people and the community.
Gratitude was always his motto, this he demonstrated by always giving back.
